Every song tells part of my story.
The three collections below follow my journey from a small farming town in rural Illinois, through the streets of Chicago and into a new life in London. Each chapter explores a different stage of growing up, while every song adds another piece to the story.
If you're listening for the first time, I'd recommend starting at the beginning.
The Early Years: Watseka, Illinois
Country Tales & City Dreams is where my story begins. These songs look back on growing up in Watseka, Illinois, where family, first love, small-town life and big dreams all left their mark. They are the foundation of everything that came after.
Finding my voice: Chicago, Illinois
Growing Into Me is the second chapter of my story. Chicago challenged me in every way, opening my eyes to new people, new ideas and a version of myself I hadn't met before. These songs are about discovering who I am, one mistake, one friendship and one adventure at a time.
LIFE UNFOLDING: CHICAGO TO LONDON
Still Becoming follows the life I am living now. Many of these songs began in Chicago, while the newest were completed after an unexpected move to London. They explore relationships, self-awareness, politics, anxiety and the uncertainty of becoming an adult while the answers are still changing.
Earlier Releases
Before Anni's story was organised into three chapters, these albums and EPs were released individually. They remain part of the journey and include the original versions of many songs that now appear in the chapter collections.
Every chapter builds on the last, but the story is still being written.
